Following tonight's 8-2 lose to Baltimore, the Tigers optioned the contracts of catcher Dusty Ryan and outfielder Wilkin Ramirez to Triple A Toledo.
On Wednesday, the club will recall the contract of righthanded pitcher Chris Lambert from Triple A Toledo and purchase the contract of catcher Alex Avila from Double A Erie.
Both Lambert and Avila will be in uniform for Wednesday's game against the Orioles. Lambert will be number 40 and Avila will be number 13.
