DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced the club has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with righthanded pitcher Armando Galarraga, thus avoiding arbitration.
Galarraga finished 4-9 with a 4.49 ERA (144.1IP/72ER) in 25 games (24 starts) for the Tigers during the 2010 season. He posted a 4-2 record and 3.65 ERA (44.1IP/18ER) in eight outings (seven starts) with Triple A Toledo this past season.
In three seasons with the Tigers, Galarraga has compiled a 23-26 record and 4.55 ERA (466.2IP/236ER) in 84 games (77 starts).
