DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced the following injury information on Magglio Ordonez:
Magglio Ordonez underwent X-rays and a CT Scan this morning in Arlington, TX, which diagnosed a re-fracture of his right ankle at the site that was previously surgically repaired.
He originally suffered a right ankle fracture on July 25, 2010. He underwent a surgical procedure to stabilize the fracture on August 25, 2010, a procedure performed by Dr. Phillip Kwong of the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, CA.
The re-fracture of his right ankle will end the 2011 season for Ordonez.
