First, I hear people bitching about breaking up the 20 year old players. All these guys had the same percentages this year and blew it in the worst division in maybe the last 30 yrs.
Grandy hit 30 home runs and we still didn't make the playoffs! Duh? It can't be worse can it? No playoffs, is no playoffs with or without Grandy or Jackson?
Is Grandy an All Star? Please! That's almost as bad as Inge. The reality is Grandy is a .249 hitter. Polanco was the killer loss!
Dombrowski has his Illitch marching orders: "Get rid of $20 million".
Now, if they could just dump Inge they have a good start on dumping that $20 million. Ask yourself this. Where could Inge play, which club could he play for hitting a steady .230; Toledo?
I don't think anyone is untouchable except maybe "Mr.100 Pitch", Porcello. Everybody just wants to see him pitch out of a 7th or 8th inning jam. Do you think we ever will?
I will tell you one other fact,: if you give me Bonderman and Willis for six weeks, I bet I can make them better than .500 pitchers. A lot better than the horrible debacles they have been! Why doesn't the Illitch minions see the problems with these two car crashes?
