TIGERS HOST NEW YORK YANKEES TO BEGIN NINE-GAME HOMESTAND, JOSE FELICIANO TO PERFORM NATIONAL ANTHEM
DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers begin a nine-game homestand on Monday, May 10, first hosting the New York Yankees (May 10-13), followed by the Boston Red Sox (May 14-16) and Chicago White Sox (May 17-18). Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s games versus the Yankees will begin at 7:05 p.m. with a 1:05 p.m. matinee between the two clubs to close out the series on Thursday.
Prior to the game on Monday, beginning at 6:45 p.m., the Tigers will honor Hall-of-Fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell, who passed away Tuesday, May 4 at the age of 92. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for this special on-field, pregame tribute.
