When you compare the numbers between teams ahead of the Tigers their 4.12 ERA is something that can change. The team is 11th with hits against them with 365 where their division leader has 406.
The Tigers have blown only two save opportunities so that means when the bullpen has a job to do they're getting it done. The team is hitting decent, but their low RBI numbers gives other teams a chance to change the game with one or two good innings.
If the rotation can play solid baseball at least five to six innings a night they could really help themselves with staying confident. And with consistent pitching the offense can focus on hitting their way into first place.
