GLENN WILLIAMS, STEVE YOO ADDED TO INTERNATIONAL SCOUTING STAFF

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers today announced the organization has added Glenn Williams and Steve Yoo to the club’s international scouting staff. Williams is an area scout in Australia, while Yoo is an area scout in Korea.

Williams played 14 seasons professionally with the Atlanta Braves, Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins organizations (1994-2007). He saw action in 13 games at the major league level with the Twins during the 2005 season, hitting safely in all 13 of the games. Williams represented Australia in the Olympics twice and once during the World Baseball Classic. Williams most recently has been working with Baseball NSW as the Manager of High Performance and Baseball Operations.

Yoo played three seasons as an outfielder at Georgetown University (1992-94), following one season as a member of the Georgia Tech University football team during the 1990-91 season. Prior to joining the Tigers, he most recently has been working in the private sector in Korea.
