Detroit Tigers News & Views - A Few Quick Thoughts on the Detroit Tigers

by Robert Rundle

June 5, 2015

I went to turn on the Tiger game tonight, Tigers at White Sox, and as usual with Cogeco the game isn't on but every other game is on!

I often wonder if you're a fan of a certain team then that game won't be broadcast for you, it will probably be on in the 3rd inning.

Speaking of the Tigers and the state of the team, I've noticed since Jim Leyland's last year as manager and these two years with Brad Ausmus that they have lacked a certain urgency in the brand of baseball they play. I understand it's a long season and it's a veteran club but in saying that it would not have been a bad idea to look at a complete change of philosophy regarding the manager position when Leyland retired.
